Our journey began in 2021 as a grassroots gallery operating out of our garage. As we grew into WHAT Art School in 2025, we saw firsthand how much our community wanted to learn, create, and get their hands dirty, and we don't want anything to get in the way of that.

That's why we started West Meadows Arts Guild - to open opportunites and avenues to pursue funding that will assist with subsidizing class tuitions and reduce other access barriers.

In 2026, we established the West Meadows Arts Guild, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, to work hand-in-hand with WHAT Art School. Together, they form a sustainable ecosystem for community creativity:

• WHAT Art School is our hands-on educational hub, providing the physical studio space, kilns, wheels, and expert instruction.

• West Meadows Arts Guild is our non-profit arm. By pursuing grants and accepting tax-deductible donations, the Guild subsidizes class costs, funds scholarships, and supports free community programming.

By separating the space from the funding, we ensure that community generosity goes directly toward keeping hands-on arts education affordable, accessible, and welcoming to all.
